The Packaging
With the exception of the plastic tape, everything else was plastic-free.

What is Tushy?
Tushy is a company that aims to reduce wastefulness by selling products that clean bums. Their main product is the Tushy Classic 3.0, a bidet attachment that sprays water onto your bum. But what do you do after washing with water? Of course, you need something to dry yourself with and that’s where the Bamboo Bidet Towels come in.

Cotton vs Bamboo
We have all been accustomed to using cotton towels. The highest quality ones are usually from Turkey or Egypt. Cotton towels are very absorbent unless it’s mixed with other materials like polyester.

On the other hand, bamboo towels are the more eco-friendly alternative to cotton towels. Bamboo grows up to 39in per day which makes it grow 100% faster than other raw materials. It also has natural antimicrobial properties. You just have to be cautious of the source of the bamboo towels you’re purchasing. Some companies strip off forests to be able to grow bamboo (so counterproductive, am I right?). Make sure to do your research before purchasing bamboo towels.

$19, Set of 5, Tushy
When I first opened the package, I was instantly drawn to the modern and minimalist packaging. That’s not even the best part. When I unrolled the towels, all I could think was these are some of the softest towels I’ve ever touched. They’re the perfect size as well (25cm x 25cm). There are instructions on how to properly wash them (see photo above). I’ve been using it for a few days now and all I can is that they’re working really well for me. The towels are very absorbent. The only minor issue that I had was some of the towels have loose threads but they’re barely noticeable. I also love the color mint. It also comes in natural.

Growing up in the Philippines, we always used spray bidets to wash with water and soap when we used the bathroom. It’s very hygienic. When we moved to the United States in 2014, it was a little difficult to adjust at first because the toilets weren’t built with bidet attachments so we had to do it ourselves. Finding a good, naturally anti-microbial towel feels like a victory. The Tushy bidet towel is a good product to dry your bum with after washing. I’m planning to purchase their bath towels as well.
