I love supporting indie authors. This book is heartfelt and inspiring. Abby has been married with her high school sweetheart and everything seemed comfortable but she knows that he’s holding her back on her dreams. Tired of settling, she leaves her husband to pursue her dream. It’s a bold move and everyone she leaves behind was surprised by this. She goes to Nashville to meet her estranged father and she bonds with him. In the midst of her divorce, she meets another man who inspires her to write songs again.
This story is relatable and I like how the author wrote Abby as a normal person with flaws. I can see this happening in real life— growing up missing a father and falling in love with someone with the same family issues but also with a shared passion for music. It also talks about forgiveness. This book touches different values and aspects in life from profession to dreams, family, divorce, forgiveness, jealousy, doubts, and acceptance. It’s equally inspiring as it is a romance book.
