I would like to thank Grand Central Publishing and Hachette Book Group for the complimentary advanced copy of this book.

I paired this book with a glass of eggnog (it will make sense once you read the book).

My all-time favorite romance author did it again with this new book about a dying photographer and gallery-owner Maggie Dawes who grows close to her fresh grad employee reminiscing about her youth through shared stories. Set in Ocracoke, a very small island in the outer banks of North Carolina (where Nicholas Sparks’ books are usually set at), this book is an easy read about young romance, regrets, insecurities, finding one’s self, and building meaningful relationships with people. There were a lot of parts in this book that made me cry; I admittingly cried nonstop while reading the last 30 pages. Maggie’s story will definitely touch your heart.
