Chanel Makeup Favorites

I’ve been wearing Chanel makeup for years. I usually go for a no-makeup makeup look (natural and not too heavy). On average, it takes me around 5 minutes to put makeup on and even less if I just have to run errands.

Here are some of my Chanel makeup favorites:

Rouge Allure.jpg

Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme Lipstick
In 118 Eternel, $40, Chanel
This is a matte lipstick that doesn’t leave my lips dry. I love mauve shades and this is a nice mauve that suits my skintone. It also lasts all day. It contains natural Rice Powder and a unique antioxidant complex— composed of Sweet Almond Oil, Sappan Wood and Vitamin E.

Cecile.jpg

Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lipstick
In 432 Cecile, $40, Chanel
This is a moisturizing lipstick that is sheerer than Rouge Allure. It leaves my lips with a little shine. This shade is more mauve than Rouge Allure and is a great choice for a natural, everyday look. It contains Jojoba and Mimosa Butters, Sunflower Wax and Silicone.

Eyeliner.jpg

Le Liner De Chanel (Eyeliner)
In 512 Noir Profond, $35, Chanel
This has an ultra-fine felt-tip liquid liner that is highly pigmented. I line my upper eyelid very thinly so this works well for me. It’s not watery and I could line one eyelid without redipping the tip. It also lasts all day and is waterproof. It doesn’t come off when I use my eyelash curler.

Foundation.jpg

Ultra Le Teint (Foundation)
In B30, $60, Chanel
I love this foundation! I used to wear Vitalumiere Aqua, which has a lighter consistency and is more moisturizing, but my face gets too oily with it. I find Ultra Le Teint to have a creamier and thicker consistency so a little goes a long way. I like to wear my foundation light and sheer, like there’s no really makeup on my face, and this does the job. If you want a heavier coverage, you could always apply more because this is buildable. It definitely lasts all day. It gives a matte finish and it doesn’t cake at all.

Blush.jpg

Jous Contraste (Blush)
In 99 Rose Petale, $45, Chanel
This blush is really pretty. It gives a natural color to my cheeks. I wish I picked a darker shade because this shade is a bit too sheer for my skintone so I have to use more product. It blends really well though on top of my foundation. I will be buying a darker shade soon.

Compact Foundation.jpg

Ultra Le Teint (Compact Foundation)
In B30, $60, Chanel
I always finish my makeup with this compact foundation. I use a powder brush instead of the sponge that comes with it to apply it on my face. It’s really good at controlling the shine on my face. I only apply a very thin layer onto my face and it lasts around six hours before I have to reapply. If you want a heavier coverage, you could use the sponge. When I run errands, I just apply it on top of my moisturizer.

Brow Gel.jpg

Le Gel Sourcils (Eyebrow Gel)
In 350 Transparent, $32, Chanel
I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Soft Brown for my eyebrows then I coat them with this eyebrow gel. I like the thickness of my natural eyebrows so I only brush them with a transparent coat after filling them with the pomade. This gel helps keep my eyebrow hairs in place.

Concealer.jpg

Le Correcteur De Chanel (Concealer)
In shade 20, $43, Chanel
I’ve been using this concealer for over five years. I usually wear my concealer a shade lighter than my foundation (B30). Even if it’s gel based, it leaves a creamy consistency. It’s very moisturizing unlike other concealers. It’s also buildable for heavier coverage. I apply it on top of some of my post-acne marks (when I have some) and I dab a little bit of it under my eyes. It doesn’t cake and it leaves my face smooth.

I don’t own a lot of makeup since I work from home and I barely go out. I will include my other favorites from other brands such as Dior, Anastasia Beverly Hills, and MAC in my future posts. For makeup and skincare, when I find something that works for me, I usually stick by it. Chanel offers a big line of cosmetics that has a wide range of shades. Their makeup works for my skintype so I make sure I don’t run out of my Chanel favorites. Oh— and of course, I also love how luxurious they look in my cosmetic bag.
