After I finished reading The Friend Zone a couple of days ago, I just knew I had to read this right away. This is the second book to the series. While TFZ follows the story of Kirsten, this book is about her best friend Sloan, who lost her fiancé two years ago, and the owner of the dog that found her/blossoming musician/Grammy winner Jason. This book has definitely more drama than TFZ. The meet-cute of the main characters is adorable because it involves a dog. This book is very romantic and funny, and it brought tears to my eyes in some parts. It also involves some typical budding musician touring throughout the US and overseas problems to their relationship. I enjoyed reading it so much that it only took me two days to finish it. Abby Jimenez never fails to write a book that is so entertaining that you’d just want to say “Just one more chapter”.

I can’t wait to read her next book Life’s Too Short that’s coming out on April 6.
